Project Description

The Underground Section consist of 13.5 km of tunnels and 10 new underground stations, plus fit out of 1 existing station built under SBK Line. The tunnels extend between the North Escape Shaft at Jalan Ipoh and the South Portal near Desa Waterpark. The stations are either island/stacked platform configuration and include new interchanges with existing or proposed railway and transit lines.


Perform review, checking & certify all major temporary works design carried out by Detailed Designers comprising Pkg 1 & 5 Stations TTWS, STWS, HKLX, BMNS & BMSS

Any excavation and lateral support to resist horizontal earth and water pressure arising from subsoil conditions;

  • All safety measures associated with the construction to facilitate the protection of the workers, public and the temporary works;
  • All temporary soil nails, rock dowels or ground anchors; dewatering, groundwater control and ground treatment works;
  • Foundations for heavy lifting cranes and support gantries;
  • Scaffolding, major concreting work and false work/formwork for concrete pours of depths exceeding 0.4 metres each and demolition Works;
  • Temporary diversion schemes for existing watercourses affected by the temporary works and temporary road decking;
  • Temporary support of utilities;
  • Launch Shaft Elements – thrust frame / block /foundation for thrust frame;
  • Review of Instrumentation monitoring scheme;
  • Impact assessment and protection of foundation interaction affected within the tunnel;
  • Impact Assessment and Protection of buildings/structures which might be affected by the temporary works
